Melting Pot Week Four Rewards!



Each week we’ll roll out new rewards for the Featured Episode “Melting Pot”. Last week’s reward was the Preeminent Deflector. The final reward is the Preeminent Covariant Shields.

In addition, the first completion of this mission on an account this week will grant a Featured Episode Weekly Reward Box. This box gives your choice of an Enhanced Universal Tech Upgrade or a Captain Specialization Point Box, which gives the character who opens it a Specialization Point. The Weekly Reward Box, Tech Upgrade, and Specialization Point Box are all Bound to Account, and may be freely traded between your characters. The Specialization Point Box requires the opening character to be level 50 or above.

The Preeminent Covariant Shields are a Tzenkethi specialty. They shift the balance of shield capacity so that the aft section of the ship is more protected than the fore. This is not just an engineering feat but also a mindset that the Tzenkethi have. The mentality of shoring up weaknesses can be seen in much of Tzenkethi culture, where they are always looking forward.

The Preeminent Covariant Shields counts towards the Incontrovertible Defenses set. Collect and equip pieces from this set to unlock powerful set bonuses:

Carapacial Resistances (2 piece)

This 2 piece bonus provides:


+ Kinetic Damage Resistance Rating


Inundated Shielding (3 piece)

This 3 piece bonus provides:


+Tetryon Damage
+Maximum Shield Capacity


Counter-Balanced Munitions (3 piece)

This 4 piece bonus provides:


+Flight Turn Rate
Activating a Cannon Bridge Officer ability applies:

+Shield Power for a short duration




 

All unlocked rewards will remain as selected options on “Melting Pot” once it is added to the normal Episode list. The Featured Episode Weekly Reward box will not be acquirable by running “Melting Pot” once this week is over.
