The Tzenkethi Battlezone - First Write-Up
#1
Preparation - the Intelligence Record

The Cryptic Intelligence Agency came up with a description of some Tzenkethi ships. The System Design Chapter gives us most.

Tzenkethi ships cuddling together are reported to be almost unsinkable.

I started looking for an agressive approach for my Science captains that does not rely on the common Gravity Well tactics. Step 1 is picking one or two science skills that hurt the foe, step 2 is looking on Duty Officers: for the right type in the Interwebs, for the right person in your roster and in the Exchange.

Tzenkethi are reported to be very tough, less tough on their front arc where they sport their overly heavy weapons.
I observed Tzenkethi ships using Trajector Lock to rip me apart with Tractor beams while passing my position. Play agille, try new tricks and have Polarize Hull in your skill setup. I found attacking shields, movement, energy household and damage resistance very interesting options. Command Specialists and Intel Specialist offer nice attack vectors too (e.g. Overwhelm Emitters, EMP Probe, Ionic Turbulence, maybe Transport Warhead).

Shooting Practice
Broln'Ta Cruisers act likeIconian Energy gateways. Blast them first, Shuk-din Frigates maybe second, then everything else. A Tactician's Tank ship probably  treats a Tzenkethi Big Thing like a Borg Cube.

Going to Battle
The Battle Zone requires Level 60.
Reputation Tier 1 at the Lukari Restoration Initiative gives you Transwarp to the Gon'Cra System. Swoosh, you are there.
Otherwise transwarp to the Fleet K13 Holding or to the Defera System, leave system and enjoy canonical space travel:

The Map and the Briefing
The Klingon Big Cheese gives you a briefing on the various actions. That makes sense as this is not just Undine BZ 3.0:

React on Counterattacks
Zones with dotted lines are umder attack. The Tzenkethi counter attacks are meant to win back.
  • While the zone icon is Blue, NPC allies hold the line yet and a single player vessel may stop the counter attack.
  • When the zone icon gets Gray, the zone is contested and needs full attention.
  • When the zone icon is Orange, zone belongs to the Tzenkethi.
