If you dont have level 15+ beams yet, you can build up the crafting components and I will craft you a plasma beam omni-directional. I have level 20 beams, but its still a near 50% chance for ultra rare.
Nice to see you focused on one area. How is your survivability?

I call it a "budget build" because I haven't spent any real money on STO. The leech came from selling keys that I purchased with loads of dilithium, and I found the [CrtD]x3 beams on the exchange for a rather reasonable fee... which is a big part of the reason that this is a plasma build.
I think I have a purple omni plasma beam in my inventory, but I wasn't sure how it would affect my DPS, since it has "[arc] [acc] [dmg]" for its modifiers.
Her original Eng BOFF layout, IIRC, was: EPtS1, EPtW2, Aux2SIF2, DEM3
Survivability improved drastically when I changed that to her current layout, and replaced the Dyson 2-piece set with another plasma beam and fleet armor. It's really nice having 3 hull heals and two shield heals (Miracle Worker is a hull heal-- if you use it for your shields, you're doing something wrong) whose cooldown's don't overlap. On top of that, Aux2SIF and Polarize Hull provide resist buffs, which have saved me from being one-shotted in CCA when I time them correctly.
It is important to note that she's based on one of Jena's (@sarcasmdetector) ships, and those are generally built around taking tons of damage, then using "Go Down Fighting" (buffs damage and resists, inversely proportional to ship's health) in conjunction with "Attack Pattern Alpha" (MOAR CRITZ!) to slaughter everything in sight before taking any more damage, so it's important to watch the shields and hull closely,
