Using a new "brain" technology, scientists were able to help a man, paralyzed in both legs, to walk with the assistance of a device allowing his brain to send electrical signals to his legs.

Reminds me of the technology described in the TNG episode, "Ethics", when Worf suffered a similar spinal injury.
