Doesn't having multiple "fleets" (Klingon, Starfeet, etc) detract from achieving the highest level of one particular faction's fleet assignments?

Fair question, I wondered the same thing myself. Then it occurred to me, (and we have seen it with the latest patch), that it makes sense for STO to blend some PvE's and play options between factions.

We can war with each other, and you can play both sides of the fence, literally. As far as detracting from one fleets assignments vs. another, I do not see an issue here. I agree we COULD, but we don't. We are not actively trying to push anyone to either side, but some players are very active and have accounts in both factions. It seems only a natural progression that we blend together and unite the galaxy! and have fun doing it!
