Star Trek Online: Time and Tide - Week 3
Each week we’ll roll out new rewards for the Featured Episode “Time and Tide.” Last week’s reward was the Chronometric Capacitor Tactical Console. This week’s rewards are the Heavy Chronometric Polaron Turret and the Omni-Directional Chronometric Polaron Beam Array. In addition, the first completion of this mission on an account this week will grant a Featured Episode Weekly Reward Box. This box gives your choice of an Enhanced Universal Tech Upgrade or a Captain Specialization Point Box, which gives the character who opens it a Specialization Point. The Weekly Reward Box, Tech Upgrade, and Specialization Point Box are all Bound to Account, and may be freely traded between your characters. The Specialization Point Box requires the opening character to be level 50 or above.
These weapons are the end result of a research program testing the viability of incorporating Chronometric particles into energy-based weapons. They are capable of covering a 360-degree arc, providing a tactical advantage regardless of your ship’s position. The suspended Chronometric particles occasionally feed back into the firing ship’s weapon systems, allowing the ship’s energy weapons to partially bypass shields.
Both the Heavy Chronometric Polaron Turret and the Omni-Directional Chronometric Polaron Beam Array count as a 360-degree energy weapon within the Chronometric Calculations set. Collect additional pieces from this set to unlock powerful set bonuses:
Chronometric Calculations Set
Cyclical Auxiliary Conduits (2 piece)
This 2 piece bonus increases the Auxiliary power level of your ship.
Chronometric Energy Converter (3 piece)
This 3 piece bonus increases energy weapon and exotic damage when activated. The energy weapon damage buff is based on your Auxiliary power, while the exotic damage buff is based on your Weapon power.
Chronometric Focusing Array (4 piece)
This 4 piece bonus increases the Krenim Chroniton Torpedo’s proc chance, and increases the duration of Chronometric Energy Converter.
