First: The Breach Returns!

From March 8th 8:00AM PST to March 29th at 10:00AM PST, Captains between levels 50-60 can queue up for our 5-captain “Breach Event” to defeat the Voth City Ship and earn one Voth Operative Transmission every 20 hours. After collecting 14 Voth Operative Transmissions, players can complete a new Event Reputation project to be rewarded with 50,000 Dilithium Ore, 500 Fleet Marks, 250 Marks of their choice, and a brand new Universal Console, Voth Phase Decoy. Completing this project on any character will unlock this new Universal Console for all characters across your account, and additionally the other characters can still complete the project to receive the Marks and Dilithium Ore.

A couple of notes: the info on the calendar page is different than what was on the Cryptic release from the other day - I'll assume the info above is correct! Ed will be hosting runs Friday Saturday and Sunday (Mom will host some as well so Ed can sleep!) so team with your fleeties for some fun runs on the Voth! The big prize is a console, which is an account-wide unlock, once you've completed the mission 14 times (twenty hour cool down for the Voth doodad you need for the prize). This also earns the above reference goodies - but those are character bound, so if you want ALL that dil for more than one toon, you'll have to do it on multiple toons.

We’re pleased to announce the return of the Research and Development Weekend! This event will run from Thursday, March 8th at 8AM PT to Monday, March 12th at 10AM PST, and features several bonuses throughout STO that will give Captains of all levels a leg up advancing their rank in the Research and Development school(s) of their choice.
For those Captains looking specifically for extra help with their projects, all R&D packs throughout the game will give out an extra 25% of the items they currently disperse for the duration of this event. Queue R&D Material Reward Packages (Normal, Advanced and Elite) will reward 25% more R&D Materials and have a chance to reward a Catalyst.
Alternatively, Captains wanting to advance through Research and Development schools as fast as possible should seek out Harvest Nodes, located in mission maps throughout STO, which will not only disperse 2 extra R&D Materials each time they are used, but will also reward 10 Dilithium Ore and have a chance to give out a R&D Catalyst during this event.
For all Captains that work on a Research and Development project during this weekend event, those projects will reward an extra 50% of the appropriate Research and Development School XP. This includes projects to make components as well as those to make items.

I was thinking and had an idea. 

Often myself and others do ask our wonderful fleet family about ideas for a character or a build. I think I would like to try to take this one step further. I am thinking of getting a couple character slots and then via message board polls. Let the fleet choose everything Faction. Race and gender. Career etc. 
If we do this I will post up screen shots as this character progresses. But in Strke Group tradition I would love to hear everyones input on this idea.

Visit DS9 or Drozana, and find Grym the Ferengi. Accept the mission THEN reapproach him  to collect it (it's 2 clicks - oh, the effort!!!!). You can also accept the mission from the calendar link - but you still have to go pick it up in person. The Ferengi are not Amazon... yet.

The birthday ship is equipped really cheap - a bit fleet stuff, 1 R&D console, everything else is mission loot or replay mission loot, some upgraded Mk XI->XII and 2 pieces came from the fleet bank. Including traits from the EC the baby was below 7M EC.

When the honey fell

After many attempts to get this accolade from the new "Scylla and Charybdis" mission, I've found a few solutions.

One: team up. With two or more players in the mission, one of you can get the consoles while the Tzenkethi captain beats up the other one. Just remember to take the damage and not kill him too fast or you won't get the accolade.

Two: Distraction techniques. Before trying to override the console, trigger a distracting effect like Seismic Agitation or using something as basic as Neural Neutralizer. (Sandstorm Generator didn't work for me, BTW - I'll try the crystal fragment next time around.) Obviously, you'll have to alternate them - using both at the same time leaves you vulnerable for the next console, and lets Martok kill him too fast. (And yes, I've tried pinning the boffs in place so they don't kill him too fast, but my team apparently is TOO good and still killed him before I could get all four consoles.)

I stumbled on to a small "cheat", "feature", "bug" on the big intermeweb - This time actually beneficial for us, The Gamers...

When you have reached the end of the Party Crasher game of "Finding Q in the present", you need to stand not too far and too close and go into shooter-mode (Default Keybind which is B).

And a flywheel/cross-hair will atucally light up revealing where Q is hiding..

*Disclaimer*
There is a timer, so if you aren't fast enough Q will end the game and you need to find another party crasher...

There you go.. Playing the game as Q.. Cheating..
