The independent tribble monger formerly known as "Tante T"
Battling Borg usually results in damaged ships, and you get not compensated for your effords - that kind of trouble without profit I learned to evade. Rumors of a Borg treasure fleet transporting Assimilated Latinum however spoke to the enterprising Entrepreneur in me! After upgrading my reliable Nandi vessel I joined an unsanctioned salvage operation, commanding the TRIBBLE EMPORIUM to claim the Ferengi share (and put it in my pockets).
Negotiations with the Borg mean Disruptors speaking loud and clearly. The TRIBBLE EMPORIUM did well:
![[Image: scm-isa-tribble-emporium-dps.png]](http://www.safarihelm.de/sto/pix/scm-isa-tribble-emporium-dps.png)
The rumors turned out as not confirmed. The loot, however, was considerable:
- 650 Omega Marks
- 10 Neural Processors
- 10 Elite queue R&D boxen
The USS BAPHOMET is the ship I prefer for my TOS Tactics Captain, Diane Carey:
She "grew up" with that ship and it works best for her. Dealing 60 to 80 K dps she is almost as cool as my Piper's Sci Oddy/Yorktown Tank but not as tough. However, she can certainly go everywhere, do everything
The ISA I flew this morning tells the tale that dps is not everything:
The only player whose actions I noticed was the "7K guy" who used his Gravity Well - 2 (I send him a manual for GW-3) to neately keep those Nanite Spheres at bay
On the Loadout I would like to mention, that the Dyson Shield is not notably suffering from OOS-2. It's impossible for me to "count" the 2 seconds disabling (compared to the 1 second assured by the Iconian shield) and it's mad self restoration works much better for me when encounters shield scrapping Orcs Borg.
Time to boldly wreck what no woman has wrecked before!

After some good months in her Jupiter Carrier, Priss, my Vulcan Science Captain switched to the 31st century Temporal Multimission Science Vessel. Though the USS Cagliostro had her awesome moments, she was a pain to fly in the Procyon V STF where you get teleported around and turned with foed respawning at unwelcome places.
My last Experiments on my USS Gipsy Queen (Fleet Long Range Science Vessel) with Tractor Beam Repulsors and Graga Mal (Push becomes Pull) always resulted in trouble from incoming damage of all kind.
The Sci-heavy NEBUKADNEZAR (updated Dec 27), set to Support Configuration, definetiveley feels more durable and packs 36 to 50 K dps in ISA runs.
The DPS curve here is as I like it most: after getting warm, the ship is contineously punshing foes
Using a Destabilizing Resonance Beam - 2 rather than Tractor Beam Repulsors - 2 produces similar or better damage results and might be the better choice. Tough it lacks the crowd control effect it produces muss less
Suicide by Close Encouters experiences that still happen in weak ISA pick up groups.
I expect a lot of happy experimental hours from that ship:
What does she do when I go from temporal ship consoles to Embassy Plasma Consoles?
Or to [EPG][CtrlX] and/or [DrainX][EPG] Exotic Particle Focussers from the Research Lab?

Phoenix Prize Lottery
Statistics
What you buy is character bound (e.g. any ships!) or account bound.
My madness tells me: 10 Boxen cost 40k Dil - 4000 Dil/Box.
An account bound phoenix upgrade from the Uncommon Prize is equivalent to 4 Superior Upgrades, 4300 Dilithium worth.
If I turn every high-rarity prize in for lower rarity prizes, I get back more Dil than I paid, pre-invested in upgrades

"Her Royal Clumsiness, the USS COLOSSUS, has entered sensor range!"
The Vonph is the biggest ship I can play so i musted to have it!!!
That vessel requires a lot of patience and care, so I assigned it to my TOS toon that does the same to me
I started experimenting with a full set of Herald ship consoles. These offer a variety of cool effects with 2m CD - but are
less effective than one could wish. So I gave them a kick-good-bye, keeping the Elite Herald Baltim Raiders hangar pets.
My build now works fine - when my flying glacier gets into range after 100 seconds or so, it packs considerable damage:
The video by Sarcasm Detecor helped a lot (ignore the ship price issue - the Vonph has dropped below 150M at the Exchange) and shows a more versatile approach than the setup suggested by the DPS Metal Cannels guys.

Your Current Rank:
Fleet Admiral (60)

How did you get into Star Trek Online?
Always been a Star Trek and an MMO fan. Started playing a couple years ago, but well after the game came out. Coming back to it now after many months away.
How long have you been playing for?
Maybe a year total
What would be your best piece of advice to a new STO player?
Follow the storylines; they're fun! Look for a guide on what's important to grind - lots of things fall in that category.
What’s your favourite career type (Engineering, Science or Tactical)?
Science. I usually like playing healers, though STO doesn't seem to need them. So I do more support types.
What’s your favourite ship?
ATM it's a Presidio Tactical Command ship or a Long Range Science Vessel.
What’s your best and worst STO moment?
Best: first time completing a run with fleet mates through the giant Voth ship when that event was out
Worst: selling a stack of twenty keys for the price of one
What are some of your other interests?
Reading, technology, maker, and other MMOs
Glad to be here, looking forward to meeting everyone and learning.
