How did you get into Star Trek Online? My buddy's laptop was dying and all he could play for a bit was STO, so we hung out till the new one arrived.

How long have you been playing for? Since the start of 2015

What would be your best piece of advice to a new STO player? Don't be overwhelmed by the ton of new stuff. Follow the storyline as it is presented to you.

What’s your favourite career type (Engineering, Science or Tactical)? Started on Tact, trying engineering

What’s your favourite ship? I really like the escorts but trying out a science ship.

What’s your best and worst STO moment? Not contributing enough in Fleet Action because my ship is too little and underpowered.

What are some of your other interests? Books, puzzles, games

How did you get into Star Trek Online? TNG back in 87 (was it that long ago?), caught my eye and fascinated me. I had seen TOS before, Next Generation just amped me up!

How long have you been playing for? besides a break for a year, since launch.

What would be your best piece of advice to a new STO player? I am a trial by fire kind of person, I jump in head first and figure it out as I go. For folks that like more definitive information, read, google, etc...find a good fleet and ask experienced members or to team up and run some missions so you get ideas.

What’s your favourite career type (Engineering, Science or Tactical)? Spent a lot of years on Tact, then Eng, now exploring my Sci further.

What’s your favourite ship? For a strictly tact, the Fleet Chimera, engineer, Fleet Galaxy X. The Breen Chell Grett I have used in both tact and eng as it has the versatility for both. Sci I am using the new Breen carrier and I like it thus far.

What’s your best and worst STO moment? Worst Moment: After a year break from the game I returned and my old friends and fleetmates had departed the game. Best moment: finding this fleet and good folks and good friends.

What are some of your other interests? Home improvements now, drawing, painting, reading, facilitating chaos.

What’s your favourite band? On an 80's kick currently, other than that, random, except country, I don't like country music.

What’s your best and worst STO moment? Best - When I finally got a stinking anniversary event completed. Worst - when I was 10 shy of making the Christmas event.

How did you get into Star Trek Online? I grew up with Star Trek TNG, and have loved every series. A guild-mate of mine from Everquest, Asheron's Call, Guild Wars, EQ 2, and DC Universe told me he was going to join STO so I followed right behind. He's no longer playing, but I missed STO and wanted to play again undefined

How long have you been playing for? About 2 years, very casually, with about a 9 month break until I picked it back up last week.

What would be your best piece of advice to a new STO player? ASK FOR HELP. This game can be confusing! Everyone was a noob once and there are plenty of people out there who are willing to help. YES, there might be a jerk or two, just remember "ignore player" is but a right-click away undefined The learning curve of this game keeps most of those type out anyway undefined

What’s your favourite career type (Engineering, Science or Tactical)? So far the only type I have much experience with is tactical.

What’s your favourite ship? I'm currently running a fleet tactical escort retrofit (defiant) and it seems to work just fine. I haven't gotten a T5 Upgrade for it yet. Not really sure what my next move is gonna be.

What’s your best and worst STO moment?
BEST moment is that moment when it finally "clicked" in my head how the Bridge Officer Training system worked. I had been staring blankly at the screen for a few days. ( I didn't ask for help!!)
WORST moment was that first time I barely defeated an enemy ship and raised my hands in victory and laughter, only to die in his warp core explosion, because I didn't know about that at the time. It STILL continues to be my downfall

What are some of your other interests? I'm a high-school band director, so of course I like music. Classical, Jazz, Rock, Etc. I like camping, riding motorcycles, and I'm a Netflix addict.

What’s your favourite band? An oldy but goody - Tower of Power

Anything else you want to say? I'm a male playing a female character, because I always figured...if I'm going to be staring at a character's backside most of the time, lets let it be a female! But man, it's weird being hit on so much in mmorpgs! I suppose my name doesn't help that situation...

I've sort-of figured out how to play STO on my own, and there are going to be MANY things about my build/tactics/whatever that make NO sense at all. PLEASE don't hesitate to offer advice on what I can do to be a better player. Once again, thanks for having me!

How did you get into Star Trek Online?
I've read somewhere that start trek online went F2P, well in fact I didn't knew that there was a mmo treek based, and tried it.

How long have you been playing for?
I registered myself in the game just when the F2P was launched, and played a while, but since I was playing also other MMO and the work took me much time of the day, I left playing gradually until last autumm.

What would be your best piece of advice to a new STO player?
Explore, read the quest texts and give the foundry a try.

What’s your favourite career type (Engineering, Science or Tactical)?
In space I don't have preferences, in ground combat, engineer.

What’s your best and worst STO moment?
Best:
When you leave the Earth shipyard in the revamped tutorial. I remembered then all the scenes in series and movies when the Enterprise leaves Earth to meet the space.

Worst:
Rubberbanding and server lag when you are surrounded by a lot of enemies.

A bit of everything, but mainly computer or digital electronics related.

How did you get into Star Trek Online? Always liked Star Trek (TNG & DS9 were my childhood), but never really liked MMORPGs. Finally tried it and had fun with it, so I stayed.

How long have you been playing for? About 4 months, give or take.

What would be your best piece of advice to a new STO player? Start refining as much dilithium as you can as early as possible. It may take you 30 levels to find a use for it, but trust me, you'll be grateful for all you saved up when you do.

What’s your favourite career type (Engineering, Science or Tactical)? I've played Tactical and Engineering, and I've enjoyed Tactical the most.

What’s your favourite ship? That's tough. I like my Heavy Escort Carrier, but really, any of the escorts are a joy to fly.

What’s your best and worst STO moment? Best: Finally learning how to use your shipt most effectively (any ship). Seriously, that moment when you finally figure out how to use the ship you just acquired is awesome. Worst: Being instakilled by two simultaneous isometric charges. Going from mission start to waiting on the respawn timer is a little depressing...

What are some of your other interests? Reading, history, lots of things. Lots of things

What’s your favourite band? Big fan of Deolinda (it's a Portuguese band). Also classical, especially classical minimalist stuff like Arvo Part and Steve Reich.
