So I like many peoples this year will be getting the carrier from winterland. And in my limited ability/resources will try to build it.


Here's what I got planned so far, two separate builds for it, Plasma based and Tetryon based.

Plasma Build - (My more straightforward build but will cost more/take more time to make into reality)

What I see in this build?:
High Damage from carrier, Great torps from hangar pets.
Won't be able to break through shields as easily though, and I'm more partial to tetryon.. but more damage is always good! And it has that nifty DoT. And is easier to decide what to get for it.

Tetryon Build - (The one I really have questions with/unsure how I want to build)

Note : This one I want to use the 2 piece Nukara set for + Tetryon damage... but I also like the kinetic cutting beam...
And I'd have to use the 3 piece set.. maybe for the Nukara Refracting Beam Banks

What I see in this build?
Building this will be harder but Tetryon is always my favorite type, even if it isn't meant for flat DPS ever. It will have more Area coverage with the broadside build and hangar pets with all the fire-at-will going on. and even the forward only build will still have the pets for more FaW, Though I really do see this doing less damage then Plasma overall due to the lack of plasma infused consoles.


So yeah, those are my planned builds, any thoughts/recommendations for it would be nice.

Side Note : Even though the Carrier's own raider pets are really nice I don't plan on using them since that would mean me going polaron build instead (since carrier pets are affected by your consoles) and polaron.. well.. I don't see all that much going for it personally compared to plasma.. or even tetryon.

Side Note 2 : The tact consoles will be either the crit damage or crit chance modules, depending on how high my crit gets before i start slapping them on. And the Fleet Neutronium consoles may have turn rate instead of hull hp depending on how slow the thing turns (will likely need more on the front attack build moreso then the broadside ones)

We are nearing the 250k Military XP we need to kick of the Tier 5 Starbase project. This will enable us to buy Tier 5 ships.


With that said - we can be there BEFORE the end of 2014! Hopefully all members have the same interest in this that I do. I know it opens up a great chance to dump some massive Fleet Marks, and earn Fleet Credit.

This is my Phantom build. A few notes: I do like DHC's as you can see. I do 16-20k in ICA with this. I could prob do more by switching to AP's but I like disrupters

Also the Hangar pets are the rare ones, not the Uncommon ones. As for the Fleet consoles, I do not have enough Fleet Credits or Marks for any of the consoles that my fleet has. also the gear that's on this ship here, I use on others. I also have the Jem'Hadar set and the Breen set, at present i am focusing on the reputation systems as I have recently completed the Romulan one and working on completing the rest. as it is from Tier 0 to Tier 5 it would take forty days without sponsorship.
For Undine Reputation I am at Tier 3, Dyson Joint Between Tiers 3-4, Nukara between Tiers 3-4, Omega Rep at Tier 3 and It's believed that I have enough to get to a halfway point between 3 and 4.

I am not sure if I would be able to complete the reps before Delta Rising. So I would like some honest feedback on what i should do as My Bank has a lot of consoles and items there that can't fit into my inventory.

I have upgraded to Fleet version, here is the R.R.W. Intervention SR9

Although you may be able to squeeze a lil bit more dps with cannons and turrets you'd lose a load of console slots to RCS accelerators to make the turn rate viable for purpose so went with a broadside rig, the 180 arc on the torps mean that you can still bring all weapons to bear on target and the beam fire at will is awesome against multiple fast movers that you'd have trouble putting alot of dmg to with cannons when your hangar pets are down, also the subsystem targeting doesn't work with cannons.

How did I get the attack ships? You can still buy the Rom doff promotion boxes off the exchange for about 10mil a piece, took me about 10 of them to get and if you don't get the attack ship you get 10 lobi and a chance for a Suliban Cell Ship if you open the doff box too lol.

Thoughts?

This my first real ship that wasn't given to me as a reward for a promotion. I'm still putting the last couple of pieces together. I intend on replacing the Deflector, Engine, Warp Core, and Shield. Then I'm working on my Reputation so I can replace the two Ablative consoles(zero point and borg) and the Tractor Mine(Cutting Beam).
