Here's my current favourite ship build, I'd love some feedback/constructive criticism so see what you think, I'm no expert but it works for me, if you have any suggestions on how to make it better please let me know, I'm all ears and am always looking to improve:

(I only use STO Academy's ship builder coz it's so easy and my chrome doesn't like the gateway for some reason!)

So tonight in chat *a member* mentioned that one of his ex fleet mates was interested in teaming up KDF fleets.

But i guess the wider question that needs to be clarified first is are we in favor of allying with external fleets? And if so do we wish to be parent or baby fleet pr happy with either situation?

I wont pretend to fully understand the system but i guess its a case of are the +'s > the -'s ?

The Undine Space Battle Zone is a great way to get Isomorphic Injections - Science Captains will find the Undine Set a true goody, solid and well performing.


It takes about half an hour to conquer the zone. You are blasting undines and pilot between muddly bubbles and swear on the pulling strings of Undine sub space rifts.

In the final stages you punch 3 Planetkillers on the nose (Literally! It's their weak spot!) and close the gap by defeating a Voth invasion fleet sent to insult and to destroy the mammals!

Rewards are a reasonable amount of Dilithium, a modest amount of Undine Reputation Marks, 4 Isomorphic Injections and a row of space battles that feels epic!

There is a 5 minute break between the battle events running all day. So even if you feel energetic and run the battle repeatedly, there is room to chill, get some coffee, have a drink or sacrifce a cigarette to the powers that be.

Any Science Captain at level 50+ is cordially invited to show up for some action and get as many Isomorphic Injections as you can eat or stand farming.

Any Fleet Mate at level 50+ is cordially invited to join the fray to help, and to protect. Show as much fireworks as your warp cores can suffer. Turn Tripod ships into debris and kick the Saurs where their wall shields do not shine!

As this is a Battle Zone we are not alone, there are always brave Captains doing as we do.

To prepare yourself, get access to the battle zone: Have completed the Sphere of Influence and Circles within Circles, etc. Missions.

I will be on location serving as your tour guide and doing the battle at Saturday 1st of August,
GMT+1 times 16:00 - 18:00+ , 20:00 - 22:00+ and 23:00 - 1:00.
Show up as you like, I will be happy to invite you into team during the break periods. If you find it's not your cup of tea, leave when the battle event you joined is done. Stay for another battle event if you like it.

You will see me as Piper, Edar'Ta or Catriona (Federation) or Mel'hMac (Klingon Defense Force)

I find myself in a position where I need some officers training in some skills that only other captains (of different professions!) can train.

I'm looking for a Starfleet Aligned Romulan Faction Tactical Captain to train both Attack Pattern Beta III and Beam Array Fire at Will III to one of my Tactical Officers. Is anyone able to oblige?

I have Tactical / Engineering Starfleet Captains, along with Engineering Romulans (of both flavours) and a Klingon Engineer that I can offer training with as repayment!

Can anyone help me out?

ok after you download the rar, unrar unzip and open the folder.

the 1st thing you should do after its installed is creating the combat.log in the game, to do so you need to log in the game and use the following command:

/CombatLog 1

after that a Combat.log should have been created in your game directory.

the path should look like this: C:\Users\David\Desktop\Perfect World Entertainment\Star Trek Online_en\Star Trek Online\Live\logs\GameClient

when you check that the combat.log file is created, use the jar file called combatlogreader.jar

after it opens use the big button that says read combat log and go back to the game and enter any combat, missions, pves etc and you should get a read on several stats and especially the dps you do

I save the above in a notepad with the file name of spacebar.txt and place in C:\Program Files\Perfect World Entertainment\Star Trek Online_en\Star Trek Online\Live folder

to make it work go to system space and put /bind_load_file spacebar.txt in your chat line and hit enter.

Ok What does the above do? It does 3 things.
1. when I hit my mouse button 4 it redistributes my shields
2. when I hit the spacebar it fires all weapons, activates any ability I put in action bar 7 and redistributes my shields.
3. When I hit the T key it will put in team chat to target whatever my current target is

Special notes: If you have more that 1 ability in 7 tray you need to hit spacebar each time to activate each one.


Another one I Use I like to call Alpha strike. I place my major CD's in the 3 tray and when I multi tap the V key it activates thems

I didn't make a file for the next one I just put the following in chat while in system space:

This one enlarges the buff of target, target of target and focus every time I hit F8. This is very useful for pvp

Ran out of time between Teneebia and Nimbus, but earned 775k EC. Keep in mind, you get bonus EC for completing the entire Alpha Quadrant.

I've been noticing I've been getting destroyed by high-level things, and I feel like I don't do enough damage. What should I change to make myself better? I need ways I could get through rep or missions, as I can naever make enough money to get what I want. Here is my setup:
